What Should I Expect on the Day of My Broadband Light/BBL™ Treatment?

A cooling gel is first applied to the area followed by the applicator that delivers the BBL™ therapy. As the wand is moved over the targeted area, it delivers brief pulses of light energy to the skin in the targeted area seeking out red and brown discoloration, and slowly diminishes its appearance. At the same time, it boosts collagen production. BBL™ therapy is effective at treating rosacea, sun spots, bruises, birthmarks, facial veins and other issues to create an even skin tone and healthy complexion.

How Long Does It Take to Broadband Light/BBL™?

The amount of time to complete the treatment depends on the area being treated; however, it typically takes about 15-30 minutes.

What to Expect After Broadband Light Therapy/BBL™

After your BBL™ therapy, you may have some slight redness in the area similar to a mild sunburn, which clears up within a few days. There may be some flaking as the pigmentation comes to the surface. It is important to avoid excess sun exposure so that the new skin does not get discolored and the targeted pigmentation does not get darker as it dissipates.

When Will I See the Results?

The results from Broadband Light/BBL™ vary with each person. The more intense the pigmentation, the longer it takes to get the full results from the treatment. Even though you see some results from one treatment, as they continue, the results get better. Hyperpigmentation is greatly diminished or eliminated.
